CMDC Dancers 2014-2015
Ginger works at a non profit after school enrichment program as a site director and teaches kids hula hooping dance and art. She is a hula hoop instructor and flow arts performer, and first began working with the company several years ago as a guest artist. After a few seasons as a guest artist and flow arts instructor for the company, Ginger joined the company and is now one of CMDC's dancers.
Sioux ZQ began dancing 18 years ago as a member of her high school dance team. Since then, she has trained extensively in modern, contemporary, ballet, jazz, aerial and pole dance. Sioux teaches and performs in the Los Angeles area as a dancer, aerialist and pole artist. She also has a Master's in film production from USC, and enjoys creating dance art films.
Born and raised in Los Angeles, the performing arts have been an integral part of my life since birth. Theater arts and gymnastics ignited my passion for movement in childhood. As a teenager, I discovered hoop-dance and began my exploration of the flow arts, including hoop, poi, staff, flags, pole, fire, and LED. Now as a student at Santa Monica College, I am supplementing my studies with ballet, modern dance, choreography and kinesiology.
