 Women Empowerment Program

Our Women Empowerment Program utilizes our trauma-informed healing movement practice, Dance from the Heart, to help woman-identified individuals reconnect to their bodies to reduce chronic pain, heal trauma, build self-confidence, reach their goals, and cultivate community.

We offer one-time workshops or 6 - 8 week classes in English or Spanish to local LA based organizations such as Peace over Violence, New Economics for Women (NEW), WeSpark Cancer Support, CalTech Center for Diversity and Inclusion, UCLAArts and Healing, CAST-LA, ReStore, Rainbow Services, PILA, Proyecto Pastoral, and East Los Angeles Women's Center.

Due to COVID-19, all our classes and workshops are currently being provided online via Zoom.

Teen Empowerment Program

Our Teen Empowerment Program serves young adult, ages 16 - 25 years old. This program utilizes our trauma-informed healing movement practice called Dance From The Heart to build self-confidence, reduce stress and anxiety, and create supportive peer relationships among teens.

Participant Testimonials

"Phew. This class was really supportive of my own need to practice being embodied. Through "fire" in particular, I felt like I was able to allow for anger to be there alongside joy that felt really good. This class also allowed me to connect with myself in a way that felt intimate and healing."

"The classes have brought me so much joy, peace, and quietness to my mind. As a recovering perfectionist, it’s hard to let go of things that I can’t control. But this class has reminded me that things will be taken care of, to trust myself and my abilities in the process, and to know that dance/movement is for any body!"

"Each class allows me to return to my body, inhabit it again fully, no matter how disconnected or pained I may have felt at the beginning.. I believe all of us are being moved into greater wholeness and health, each time we meet."

"The class was very freeing. The different stages helped me deal with issues that I have experienced in my cancer journey and life journey in general. I loved the process of throwing things into the fire. It was very cathartic to take things from my physical body and just let them go."

“I learned how to relax myself to release the tension and let go of what is bothering me. The chronic pain in my hands from arthritis has gone away. It's made a huge difference for me. I hope that others can feel this and experience the classes too.”

"After taking this class, I have become a lot better at calming myself down, and reducing my anxiety. I have learned so many tools to release trauma and pain."

"I recognize when my body is tired, when it is stressed, and I make better decisions/Reconozco cuando mi cuerpo esta cansado, cuando esta estresado y puedo tomar mejores decisiones."

"My anxiety levels went down and it helped me have confidence in myself / Pues mi nivel de Ansiedd bajo y me alludo mucho como tener confianza en mi misma."

"I began actually noticing my body, accepting that that healing is not a checkmark but a journey and sometimes the body feels numb and it is hard to connect but in this journey I’ve learned so much and so much has shifted."
