Well:Spring Day of Community Care on Oct. 21st!
We're so excited to do this again--and if you missed out on our summer Well:spring, our final FREE day of community care for 2023 will be at El Sereno Community Garden on Saturday, October 21st!
We had over 150 people over the summer across all generations, and we're looking to serve that many folks again - save the date and RSVP below 💌 Our quarterly Well:spring events were designed to engage with the question: "𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙘𝙤𝙪𝙡𝙙 𝙞𝙩 𝙡𝙤𝙤𝙠 𝙡𝙞𝙠𝙚 𝙩𝙤 𝙨𝙪𝙥𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩 𝙨𝙪𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙗𝙡𝙚, 𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙨𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙬𝙚𝙗𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙘𝙖𝙧𝙚?" Our Well:spring events activate our collective local spaces, roots, and resources--providing attendees direct access to a variety of community healing arts, services, and practitioners. Weekly Wednesday Community Practice!
Every Wednesday thru on 12/14, we'll be offering a weekly Dance From The Heart class online! We have the privilege of getting to meet so many new faces at our quarterly community care clinics, and we want to continue cultivating these relationships. This space is on the cozier side, offering a place to explore your own Dance From The Heart practice and experiment with your body's own unique ways of connecting with the elements. This is also a place to support and be supported by with others who are cultivating their embodiment practice. |
With this weekly class, we aim to:
- facilitate a simple, comfortable, familiar place for people to gather and experience communal support in their DFTH and other community care practices
- co-create a recurring space for community outside of our quarterly events
- host a place that feels safe for folks to experiment with and cultivate their own personal DFTH practices--both in and out of class gatherings

What is Dance from the Heart ?
What is Dance from the Heart? Dance from the Heart is a trauma-informed healing movement practice that helps people reconnect to their bodies to heal and empower themselves. Through movement, participants set intentions and gently release anything holding them back so they can move forward more easily to manifest their heart-felt visions for their health, life and world. Dance from the Heart helps participants to reconnect with their bodies, heal trauma, build resilience, and create communities of support to achieve their goals. Through Dance from the Heart, participants often experience decreased stress and tension; increased self-worth and confidence; and greater supportive connections with others. |
Anyone can Dance from the Heart. You don't need to know any of the steps or have any prior dance experience. For all bodies and abilities. Dance from the Heart is composed of 7 gentle steps inspired by the elements of nature that support you in several ways:
- Getting present in the moment
- Grounding in your body
- Connecting to an heart-felt intention or goal
- Releasing any fears or limiting beliefs that may be keeping you stuck or holding you back
- Energizing your visions by embodying them with gentle movement
